Department store MUA make over?

My friend is having a heck of a week, and suggested we go out shopping for a girls day and hit our favorite High End brand for a make over. I've never really done this so I kinda wanted to know what we should do.
Any advice?

From my experience most will give you a full makeup look but expect (maybe even require?) a minimum purchase. I did Estée Lauder and they ask that you buy two items, minimum.
