Foundation shelf life?

Im currently cleaning out my makeup kit and want to know the shelf life of a foundation. I use foundations by sebastian and I bought them in 1999.

I'm not sure if there is an exact shelf life (there probably is, I just don't know it). But when it starts or is looking gross and wouldn't want to put it on my skin, then that's when I toss it.

Thank you...that's what I thought. Well they all still smell fine and the texture is fine...so I guess I will keep them till they get gross. Thank you
