Hi...I'm 52 years old and i'm in such a rut.  I have been applying my makeup much the same way since I was in my 20's.  It's just not working anymore.  My eyes have gotten more hooded,...my skin is paler....Just not happy at all.  Could you please take a look at my photo and make some recommendations?  The es on my browbone is showing up way frostier then it actually was...I think the flash made it that way...Any advice would be appreciated.  Be Honest, because i truly want to what what is my good features and what needs work...Thank you! 12096503_10153132070095423_6449499475001319684_n.jpg

Your eyes and your lips are beautiful!! Have you ever used Bobbi Brown makeup? I like their makeup for every day look. I've been drawn to her line as well as Laura Mercier since I've gotten older. I know what you mean about the heavier lids, I have that too but yours look great! Bobbi Brown website has some great videos and tips on how to do makeup. Here is one for eyes http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/Makeup-Lesson-Secret-to-Standout-Eyes

Here is a look from the video that would look gorgeous on you. I would go with a darker lip color for you though than the model has in the picture. I think the color you have now but darker would be great to accent your lips. Finding the right blush is also a key. I find that Benefit blushes are great because they are so easy to apply and instantly add glow and color to your face. I think something like this would look great on you http://www.sephora.com/dallas-box-o-powder-blush-P133173?skuId=892406

The Balm hot mama blush is beautiful as well https://www.birchbox.com/shop/the-balm-hot-mama-shadow-blush-all-in-one

Hope others can help with suggestions too. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20">

Before I read Reija's post, I though what a nice smile and great cheekbones!! I agree that a bit of blush, and a stronger lip color could go along way, maybe a berry color for your lips. I recommend going to a makeup counter and have fun trying things out. That's such a great opportunity to try something you may not have thought of using before. Looks like you have green eyes (lucky), a plum eyeliner would really make them pop!

A bit off-topic here please forgive me @@DemetriaBeth this isn't about you just about all of us in general. I see people come here and make post like this. They are looking for ways to make themselves look better (hey, aren't we all!!) but often they don't to see the beautiful features the rest of us see.

I know this has made it's way around the internet, but I still think it's a powerful message.
