Glycolic Peel, how long after before i can tan again?

Hello everyone, I'm new here, this site has been awesome so far, I had a glycolic peel one week ago because my complextion has acne scars and its blotchy, i found the glycolic peel did help, but i tan regularly at a salon, and i have been putting a towel over my face so i wont burn, i was wondering how long i will have to wait before i can tan my face again (or would anyone suggest using a self-tanner on my face) and if i tan will it be useless to get glycolic peels done?
