I first use makeup remover to remove most of the makeup (like on concealer and lip brushes) and then use baby shampoo to wash them. Then lay them flat to dry on a paper towel. I have heard that after the shampoo, you cna use conditioner on them to soften them - if they are natural hair. I havent tried that though.

I use anti-bacterial dishwashing liquid most of the time to clean my brushes. I also give my brushes conditioning treatment every once in a while too. Some of my brushes have squirrel hair, so I want to make sure they stay nice and soft.

i use cleansing oil & facial cleanser. maybe i will try the shampoo & conditioner method soon. =D

i wash them with warm water once a week but i spray them every day with 70% medical alcohol.
