I cook it in a ratio of 1 cup quinoa to 1.5 cups water, similar to the way you would cook rice. It takes about 20 minutes. You should also rinse it thoroughly before cooking it to ensure that all the saponin is gone. It tastes most similar to brown rice, but it has a very distinct, nutty, delicious flavor that could take the place of any kind of rice, barley, etc in soups and other recipes.
