I cannot get on with mineral makeup !

Moisturizing = Yes!

But all the different primers I have used (both liquid and powder)  created a barrier between the skin and the MMU, not allowing the MMU to meld in. My MMU works SO much better without any primer.

I see what you mean but i've experienced moisturizer being soaked in by the mineral foundation, thus causing it to appear blotchy and dry in patches, and by the middle of the day, even with no particular effort, it was gone. A primer helps this issue. But i reckon this technique is also depending on which type of foundation you're using, if it contains ingredients to make it stick to the face then probably primer isn't necessary.
