Hey, What are some eye makeup pointers to make blue eyes pop?!

Any Mac or Stila color suggestions?!

Lid:

Crease:

Hightlite:

Hey Dallasgirl! I have blue eyes and here are some eyeshadows that really make my eyes pop.

MAC Jest, Mythology, Shroom, Retrospeck, Satin Taupe, Petalescent, Naked Lunch

Stila Kitten, Jezebel, Jade, Mystic, Charm

Shu Uemera ME Silver 945

Bobbi Brown Stone Shimmerwash

I have a few FOTD's in my notepad if you'd like to check them out!

Like Trisha said, in general, colors opposite blue will make your eyes pop the most -- so things like browns, bronze, orange, peach, even pink tend to work the best! Since my eyes are small, I also like wearing light colors like white or nudes since they can make my eyes look a little bigger.

My favorite is this look from Friday's FOTD, I uploaded it to the photo gallery since I thought it was a good example of using Milani eyeshadows:

Mini-Tutorial for this look:

1. Milani Spice (reddish-brown) all over lid and crease

2. Milani Java Bean (dark brown) in crease and outer lid

3. Milani Sun Goddess (orange-y bronze) all over lid and crease for bronze shimmer!

4. Milani Moonlight (matte white) under brow

5. Jordanna Easyliner in Brown Suede (medium warm brown)

6. Curl lashes then apply Maybelline Sky High Curves Waterproof Mascara in Brownish Black

I also found that warm browns and bronzes work better than cool browns on my pale skin

COMPLIMENTARY<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-/><o

COMPLIMENTARY color is the most common scheme using colors of opposite hues (which will be on opposite sides of the wheel).<o

COMPLIMENTARY color has the most contrast because you will always end up with a warm color playing against a cool.<o

MONOCHROMATIC<o

Monochromatic color schemes use a variation in value and saturation of a single color<o

Monochromatic colors easily work together and produce a soothing and elegant result.<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>

TRIADIC<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>
Triadic color schemes use three colors that are evenly spaced around the wheel. It offers strong contrast but appears very balanced.<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>
<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>

The basic idea is that any two colors of opposite sides of the wheel work well together. Any three colors equally spaced work well together as do any four colors forming a rectangle.<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>
You use the color wheel as a guide to help you determine which colors work together to achieve your goal<ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif></ohttps://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif>

i also find that certain shades of green & purple/mauve look fab on blue eyes, but you also have to take into consideration skintone/hair colour/and your preferences x

best way is to experiment with lots of colours, photograph your results and you'll what works best for you x

don't worry dragongirl, you will soon have enough posts

(oh, and welcome to MuT btw).

i'd say pink (Petalescent is a wonderful color), bronze, even green (like Mac Swimming)are good with blue eyes. usually purples and golds are considered safe because they can go with every eye color.

i think it's not much the color than the shade that makes a difference. your eyes can pop with every color as long as it's not too pale or too dark, but just the right shade.

MAC's Paradisco is one that I SWEAR by - it just has that wowza factor for blue eyes.. just a light wash over the lid & crease and use a light bone color on the browbone. Top that with a thin line of black eyeliner on the top lid and mascara and enjoy!

most def i like doin on brown eyes is MACs: Sable, twinks, mulch, amberlights, embarked, satin taupe
