The applications of nanotechnology and nanomaterials can be found in many cosmetic products
including moisturisers, hair care products, make up and sunscreen. anybody knows about Nano Cosmetic products ?

An interesting article about it on NPR:

Mods-I don't know if it's cool to link so delete it if you need to.

An interesting point- When particles are small they can react very differently and can develop new chemical properties. This could be a good or a bad thing. Something thought as beneficial could react harshly to skin at a nanoparticle level or vice versa. The FDA doesn't investigate beauty products until consumer concern arises.

My opinion- Hopefully, whichever cosmetic company that does decide to utilize nanotechnology, will run extensive trials before putting it on the market. I hate it when some trendy skincare ingredient bursts onto the market and only after FDA testing do we realize that we've been duped into buying snakeoil.
