I canceled my Birchbox sub for all the same reasons as you all, just not enough things in my boxes that appealed to me, and there was no way for me to opt out of certain items like perfume or nail polish (items I don't use). I wanted make up samples, like eyeshadow, liner, blush, gloss, I didn't get much of those, I got 1 liner and 1 gloss over a period of 5 boxes.
