Primer.....How important is it?

I have never used a primer when applying my MU so, how important is it to those who use it? Does it really make a difference? Im very curious about this so please let me know ladies!!! Thanks!

Nothing is really important unless it suits your needs. Are you talking about foundation primer or eye primers? Do you feel like your foundation doesn't last as long or doesn't go on very smoothly? Or does your eyeshadow need a little more staying power? If so, then yes, primers are probably good for you. If you're okay with how your makeup is applying and lasting, then you don't really need it.

I'm really interested in this too!Esp. as I'm about to switch to MMU,do you need a face primer for that too?

I think it depends on your skin type. I worship my Smashbox Photo Finish primer because of my intensely oily skin- my make up used to always fade and melt off. Also, do you live in a hot and humid area? Primer's are a huge help in keeping your make up on.

As for MMU... The first time I tried it, I tried it without primer. BIG mistake! Looked cakey and awful. Primers will soften your face, hide pores, and give a nice, matte base for your MMU.

I have oily skin too and the weather here in Miami is very HOT and humid so this may work for me. Thanks! Now I just need to find the right primer for me. How much does the Smashbox primer cost?

Well, I never used primer either. I asked the ladies on MUT what they thought, and they were VERY helpful. =) I just bought some Urban Decay Primer Potion for the eyes yesterday, and let me tell you....it's AWESOME!!!! My eyeshadow really does stay on for about 15-16 hours. Looks PERFECT! I highly recommend it!
