product burned me, I need some help please

How many of you tried exfolikate (from Kate Sommervile)? Well I got a sample from sephora, tried it out last night  and within seconds of applying it the product stung a bit, and then it just burned like hell, I left it on for the recommended 2 minutes despite this thinking the burning sensation would have stopped, which it didn't. After I rinsed it off, a layer of skin around where I have a minor zit above my lip, just came off, and it didn't even really seem like dead skin, and it left these small little invisible irritate zit feeling things on my chin. Ok so I put Lush celestial moisturizer hoping that it would calm my skin down. I woke up today and it still feels like burning and that spot is horribly reddish. Anyone else have this problem and/or know what to do to soothe a burn on the face? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you

Aloe vera gel...chilled in the fridge...If it's super bad, you may want to consult a doc about scarring, depending on how much skin it took off.

my mother has an aloe plant, think that would work if I chilled a leaf then used the juice from it?

Yep..I keep some aloe vera gel in the fridge during summer for any burns or just that "awww...damn that's cool and feels good!" feeling lol.

Also, you could try to spot treat with some triple anti-biotic ointment if it's actually taken off some skin layers..that will help with staving off bacteria and stuff..switch to a super mild cleanser, like cetaphil or simple, so you don't irritate your skin further til it heals up.

As someone who has terrible reactions to a lot of products I can sympathize. If you have a chemical burn you may want to consider something with a zinc base as used in burn creams. It really takes the bite off and it also puts a waterproof barrier over it while it is still raw. I highly recommend not doing too much to it. Avoid makeup and heavy cleansers. I use Cetaphil myself which is great for sensitive skin. Hope it gets better soon.

First of all i will recommend you to consult with a skin specialist rather than doing experiment by self its a serious issue so don't take it easy.... still I am sharing some tips might be helpful for the time being :

1. [SIZE=12pt]Use Lavender essential oil to help burned skin heal.[/SIZE]
2. [SIZE=12pt]Place hydrocortisone cream on the irritated area. Hydrocortisone cream will relieve itchiness and irritation. It will also soothe inflammation and redness.[/SIZE]
   
3. [SIZE=12pt]You can puncture a Vitamin E capsule and squeeze the contents onto your skin. Vitamin E is essential to skin health and can aid in recovery.[/SIZE]
   
4. [SIZE=12pt]Cut an aloe-Vera leaf lengthwise to expose the gel inside. Then apply the gel directly to the blister. Aloe promotes healing and is helpful in diminishing the soreness and tenderness associated with face blisters. Aloe also will help reduce potential scarring sometimes associated with face blisters. If you don't have an aloe plant, apply calamine lotion to your face blisters to help diminish any itchiness or irritation.[/SIZE]

those are some good tips, I tried the aloe, didn't know about lavender oil which I do have! can that help with dryness?
