Saline solution in old mascara?

Anyone ever tried this trick after your mascara dried out? My roommate says it works great, I'm just worried about messing up my mascaras or the brushes.

It works! I tried it on one of mine that was getting really dried out and clumpy.

But just put a couple of drops in at a time, or else it can easily get too runny. I accidentally made mine a little too watery by accident.

I tried this and it worked! I had a Tarte Lights Camera Lashes that seemed to get a bit dry even though it was only at the three month mark.. The solution revived it and it worked the same as it previously did. I toss my mascara around the six month mark.
