Stick Blush?

I bought a tube of NYX Stick Blush today, and I have no idea how to use it. I tried to dab it on and rub it in, but I looked like a clown 

 I bought Pink Peony, and it doesn't look that dark and bright in the tube...so I've come to the conclusion that I've applied it wrong.

Help!

Hi doll!

I suggest you dab/swipe a small amount of cream/blush on the back of your hand and use a flat top foundation brush/ kabuki brush to apply it to your cheeks!
