Swatch photos - which do you prefer?

Do you prefer swatches on arms or on the eyes/lips/cheeks? Examples:

I like to see a mixture of both. I like the arm swatches to see the product alone and how it can be built up. But you can't beat eyeshadow on the eyelid. It can be a completely different look than on your arm. Alternatively, I have seen side by side arm swatches that show the product heavily swatched and also a blended out swatch; I like that a lot.

I like arm swatches, but seeing them put together in looks is great inspiration for how I might want to wear or use the products.

Arm swatches for sure, especially for lipsticks because they don't always show how pigmented their lips are to begin with.

Arm swatches because my lips are so pigmented that swatches on the lips are misleading.

I find that lipstick must be swatches on the lips and arm 

For eyeshadows I prefer on the arm only

Arm swatches are nice but, I like to see the product being used.

I like to also used arm swatches to compare their skin tone to mine....So, I see how it looks on theirs and what I think it will look like on mine.

I like both swaches and seeing it on in a look. I swatch on my blog with and without a primer and base on my blog.
