IMeversoHO, not everything that goes on your skin or in your eyes should go in your mouth. The FDA understands the difference, and therefore requires the ingredients to be listed, but are not going to spend time trying to strictly regulate such ingredients. It's up to consumers to be informed and make the choice not to eat their eyeshadows, etc.

^ Exactly! There is a big difference between absorbtion through skin, eyes, nose/mouth etc... many things can be toxic to the body when taken one way but harmless or even beneficial in another.
