I had grilled shrimp and steamed broccoli for lunch/dinner, it was soooo good! However, I am now going to be absolutely terrible and go against my doctor's orders and eat a Quesarito from Taco Bell. I have a hard time resisting 4th meal. <_<

Okay, so these are some of the yummies that I had during my stay at a local beach resort. The b-fast at this place had it all... pancakes, French toast, bacon, pastries. etc... But what I L-O-V-E-D the most was the veggie omelette (egg whites only/no yoke) with a side of honey dew, watermelon, and orange. *Drools* I loved it so much that I had it everyday of my stay there - and didn't get sick of it!

This is what I had for lunch, at a really cute and quaint Mexican restaurant across from the hotel. It's a nacho salad... and oh boy, was it delicious! However, I got full after eating 1/3 of it. :( Would have loved to finish the whole thing, as it was SO good!

Lastly, before we left for our small vacay, we made a stop at our fav restaurant Lure Fish House, in Westlake. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! They provide excellent service along with local farm fresh produce - the Strawberry Spring Salad is DA BOMB! I had the shrimp with rice pilaf and some fries. YUMZIES!!! :w00t:

OMG y'all are making me so hungry! I went to make Spaghetti Carbonara tonight only to discover that the cream for the sauce had turned! Boo! So my poor hungry children had chicken nuggets and fries, while I am waiting for my hubby to get home and munching on a pretzel roll. <_<

Oddly, I believe I may have just had the best grilled cheese, ever... lol  Normally, that would sound really strange, but I went to this pub that made their own butter chicken grilled cheese with spicy curried chicken, melted Ontario cheddar and mozzarella, on challah bread; it was amazing!  I guess I do like grilled cheese sandwiches now (conditionally) :D

Pumpkin pie...I'm that odd ball that (a) eats treats for dinner and (B) loves pumpkin anything any time of the year. :)

I guess in my defense, I'm just trying to clean out my fridge for my farmer's market haul. ;)

Pumpkin pie is an awesome flavor!  It's unfortunate that it becomes such a "seasonal" thing.  A few years back, I went to a coffee shop that made all sorts of pumpkin pie flavored drinks, and they were amazing; I'd go for anything like that all-year round :D

    • Head lice are parasitic insects that infest the scalp and feed on the blood extracted from the skin. They do not pose the risk of any fatal illness. However they can be quite bothersome as they cause a great deal of itching. They are also contagious and spread easily from one individual to another. Children are more prone to infestation by head lice. If left untreated, the continuous itching could result in inflammation and infection. Treatment should be done as soon as head lice are detected. One can make use of commercially available medicated shampoos for getting rid of head lice. Some people also prefer to use natural treatment for head lice. Most people also believe that the best treatment for head lice is by using natural remedies. Natural Home Treatment for Head Lice Home treatment for head lice can be done using fresh onion juice. The juice may be applied to the scalp and allowed to remain for about 3 hours. Following this, the scalp and hair may be washed with a gentle shampoo. Raw custard apple powder can be applied to the scalp at night and washed off the next morning. This is known to be effective in getting rid of head lice and nits. Essential oils are also beneficial in treating head lice. Oils such as tea tree oil or witch hazel may be diluted with some carrier oil and then massaged into the scalp on a regular basis. A solution of vinegar and water can also be used to get rid of head lice. Another effective natural remedy for head liceis a paste of garlic and lemon juice. The pungent nature of the mixture helps to kill the lice and destroy the nits. Some people also obtain relief from head lice by adding some peppermint oil to regular shampoo. A simple treatment for head lice is coconut oil. You can also add some camphor powder to the oil and massage the scalp with it. Allow the oil to stay on for the night and wash the hair with mild shampoo the next morning. After washing the head or using any of these remedies, one must comb the hair with a lice comb. This helps to remove the lice and nits from the hair. Wet or oiled hair is easier to comb. The best treatment for head lice is to maintain good hygiene of the scalp and hair. The head must be washed on a regular basis, especially if you have visited any crowded place. It is also advisable to avoid sharing personal objects such as combs, hairbrushes and caps. The best treatment for head lice would also depend on the type of hair and the condition of your scalp.   I hope I can help somebody with this the article

    • I was just wondering if you do? and if so is it hard to continually put make-up on everyday?
    • I was looking at natural ways to slim my face and came across this super detailed, well-sourced article on face exercises. I was skeptical, but there's quite a few studies to back this stuff up. All of the studies I've seen specifically tested the effects for women over 30 and found positive results. Anybody try face exercises before? I've started doing it for a week now and it's relaxing before going to bed. Not sure if the effects will be long-term YET, but I'm trying it out still.
    • The Harvey Prince perfume house sent me an email of some great sample sets they have available. For $5.00 I got their Deluxe Sample Set which has Hello Shampoo and Conditioner minis and some little sample vials of their perfumes. I am delighted with this little buy. I wanted to get samples of their Fango and Sea Salt Spray for the hair, but they are sold out. Maybe they will get more. I do enjoy their products; nice way to treat myself without guilt.
    • I did it. It was hard. I got my new pretty pink credit card in the mail today. I activated it right away, then I called to close it and cut it up right away!!!!!! It feels bad. I wanted that card. I wanted freedom to buy more, eat more. I worked so hard to pay that card (which has a really bad APR) off during my No Buy. Then I opened that card again during my recent binge. I was so close to sliding back. In 2018 I reduced my credit card debts from 16 to 11, with a plan to get to 6 by the end of this year, and then this past month I signed up for four charge cards again. I won't have closure until the new ones are all received in the mail and closed. This is my main concern right now. It hurt to trash that new card, I wanted it, but I saved myself some grief!!!!!
