We had a 5 year reunion but I didn't go since I was stuck at grad school. There's only 2 people from my high school that i still keep in touch with (and that's only an occasional email), otherwise I didn't really like anyone, I was a nerd and all the cool kids didn't like me
I wouldn't mind going to one someday just out of curiosity to see what everyone's doing, and of course I think we all have that prideful desire to show off and impress everyone
I'd love to show off my newfound fashion sense (I dressed like a nerd in high school too!), my husband, and of course the fact that I will have a Masters degree in Computer Science and will hopefully get a cool high tech job when I graduate in December.
Of course I was voted Most Likely to Succeed so my degree and job probably wouldn't surprise many people! lol (But my high school was so small, 70 in my graduating class, that I'm pretty sure that only a handful go on to grad school -- most of them for medicine or psychiatry, from what I've heard.)
I'm sure we won't end up living anywhere near my rural hometown (no jobs for me in the area!) but I could always combine a trip to the reunion with a visit to my parents who still live there!
I wouldn't mind going to hubby's reunion either .... but he went to a huge high school, so he'd probably make sure some of his friends were going to the reunion first since there would be a lot of people there that he never knew!
