Have you tried talkin to him? Maybe he thinks that you dont like the romatic stuff so he doesnt feel the need to put any effort into it. Sit down and talk to him and tell him that you would like for him to be more romantic and see where it goes from there.

maybe he tries to be romantic in other ways.. like in doing things for you - putting gas in the car, or whatever? some men just dont feel comfortable being romantic, but they try to show you how much they care in other ways.

Tell him to be more romantic? There is nothing you can really do but communicate your needs to him. He is not a mind reader, no man is, so if you dont tell him that you need him to romance you, since he doesnt act that way out of character, then he wont know!

Well, you can't change a person so I guess if you love him you should accept it. Seems like you have vocalized your need for romance and he isn't into it. The only thing you can do is either try to make him see how nice romance can be by showing him, or just letting it go.

As others said... he may not show it in the typical roses and chocolate type of way... but if he does other things for you because he cares about you - those are I think a whole lot better.

If you are asking "what you should do" you must not accept it. You want him to change and be more romantic. When I said "Let go", I didn't mean dump him, I meant let go of the ideal of romanticism in your relationship.

but you aren't really accepting how he is. You are unhappy enough about it to ask advice so maybe you do need to think about it more. Whatever the case, I hope things work out the way you would like them to. We all need a little romance.

Manders we were posting at the same time. Great minds think alike ;p

if you talked about it & hes not into it, just let it go. you cant force him to be romantic, or he could think you're being too pushy.

Some guys are just like that. Communicate what you want, and if he's a keeper he'll listen.

Men aren't so good at reading between the lines... the best way is to tell him you want more romance.
