How much are you willing to spend on a handbag?

Recommended Posts

Tricky question, but good. I don't want to spend so much on a handbag that I don't have anything to put in it...:-) I would say the most I have spent on a handbag is $80. I would pay more if I REALLY liked it and I could afford it.

Not much at all really. I'd say $20 is about my average. If I really like it and it looks to be one of a kind $30 - $40, even for my "imitation" designer bags. I'm actually planning on getting in to making my own here in the next few weeks. I bought some supplies at the craft store, so I just have to revamp my sewing skills.

LOL...

It depends on how much I like the purse. The most $ I have ever spent was $325 on a coach purse.

With the way I jam stuff in my handbags.....there is no way I could spend that much money. If I was more organized I would throw it down, but I can't seem to get my ISH straight.

i am guilty on spending 500 dollars on a dooney and bourke purse. My mom got me a 200 dollar Coach purse and I spent 150 on a Juicy Couture one. I have had some fake louis vioutton purses but none of the real thing yet!

My mom spent 1,500 on a Prada purse/wallet/coin purse/cosmetic bag set!!!! now thats bad!!!!!

I don't own any designer bags yet, but I if I had up to $500 to spend on a bag I would. The most expensive bag I own costed around $100; although I do have a few bags I made, which are priceless to me :)

This sounds scary..........I like it.:icon_cool

Actually, I am lemming a J. Crew purse for $169.00 right now....and think that is as high as I would go...

I'm just way too darn hard on shoes and purses to buy anything really expensive. Plus the fact that I like classic styles that won't go out of fashion next season....so like L.V. would not be for me at all.

Depends! If I had the money-I would be willing to pay whatever the bag costs..normally though I don't fork over alot.

$15. no really. I buy all my handbags used, or on ebay. I don't expect my bags to last very long anyway (though they do, for some strange reason since i abuse them to hell and pay nothing for them), and by the time it breaks I expect to be wanting a change anyway.

I spent 800.00 on a Louis Vuitton bucket bag. I think it was worth it. I have also recently spent almost 600.00 on a speedy 25 louis vuitton. I love them.:clap I want another one. I need counseling

The most I ever spent was $140 and it took me 4-6 weeks just to decide. If it's a classic style that will get used for years, it's worth spending more to get the quality.

    • It's Sunday. I don't feel said about anything, except for worrying about by elderly father catching coronavirus, because I could not stand to see him suffer, and feeling sad when I hear about the people who passed away. I feel lucky I still have my job, and they even gave my full hours back. Hours have been cut pretty much since December. My Dad asked me to find out when senior shopping time is, and my heart went out to him. Then he came back from shopping and he was happy, because he found cleaning wipes and groceries. He got me M&Ms. Maybe I get my love of shopping from my folks, lol. All I can think of is that stimulus check we're going to get, how if my job keeps on, I can use that to pay a credit card off, oh, that would be so amazing! And trying to use up my 2017 samples. My little hopes and dreams are surviving. Last night I went to visit my friend who lives alone. She said, I'm so depressed because I'm alone in the house. I said, that's what you need to stay alive right now. It is an advantage. But she did not see how that was a good thing.  Also I was watching a Sophie Shohet video on YouTube and in the comments someone had a good tip: keep nails really short, as long nails can get germs under them that may not come off when you wash hands. I felt really cheered up watching a channel on You Tube called Of Herbs and Altars - an amazing creative, imaginative, talented, funny English writer - I loved her perspective on the lockdown, the eerie feeling, yet the heightened appreciation of the quiet of nature.
    • hello so I have the temptu sb makeup and I'm thinking because I got some of my makeup used that it's a little old which makes it really thick. Just making sure I can use the mixing medium and it will do the trick? If not where do I buy the stuff to thin? also I have the compressor and I'm wondering how u set it there is a knob but nothing is labeled at all
    • @Edith Awesome job! Samples rock.  Love to try them myself....
    • This weekend I will stay home and entertain myself using old beauty samples: Shamanuti Pumpkin Enzyme mask - this is one of my older samples. I got it in the October 2017 Petit Vour box. It smells great. I will give myself a facial.  Kani Moon Milk - this is also from the October 2017 Petit Vour box. It is heaven. It's a beach vacation in a bottle. It is a jasmine tuberose body oil with shimmer and can also be used on the hair ends and as a highlighter. I really love it. Petit Vour sent me generous and costly samples.  Nails - maybe I will use a nail polish. I'm not good at doing nails, but I do have a few nail polishes and I need to use them up.
    • I want to mention a great YouTube channel that was really inspiring to me recently. It is Study with me - law. In case you have not seen the study with me genre of YouTube videos, these are people who live stream long study sessions so others can follow them in real time and stay focused on work. This is the channel of a young Italian attorney who is working for a judge and also studying for the judge exam. During the crisis in her country, she is working and studying at home all day every day. She will usually work on her job in the mornings and study in the afternoons, with a break every 90 minutes or so, and longer meal breaks. Her schedule is not too easy and yet not too difficult, and her videos really helped me to keep motivated when I had my second job working at home. Sadly that job was cut short by the current crisis. I wish I could live like this young woman - with her studious life and huge, beautiful law books.
