I've been wearing eyeliner on my inner rims since I was younger too... unfortunately, it's frowned upon by many optomitrists who cater to contact lense wearers. It's very easy to introduce bacteria and viruses directly into your eye when lining the inner rim with eye liner.

I personally had that problem once, and I had to discontinue with contact lenses for almost three months, and suffered some scarring to one of my retinas from lack of oxygen due to a virus.

Be super careful, and super sanitary with any eyemakeup that comes in contact with your eye directly.
