I would say they pay attention just as well as the women's box... some months it seems right on, and the next month it seems as though they never even looked at it. For example, My husband had his hair listed as "thick, unruly, hard to manage" and they sent him a thickening shampoo for thinning or balding hair. My husband is also very outdoorsy.... he is a hunter/trapper and a firefighter. Never wears a suit EVER, but yet even though he has his interests listed as Athletic, Outdoorsy Healthy & Jet Setting, he always receives lifestyle products aimed towards the "classic, artsy, fashion forward" interest guys like the pocket square, shoe horn, bow tie, knit tie, cuff links etc. I don't know what one of his "interests" indicated that he would ever want a bow tie this month, although if he would have received the knit hat I would have thought that maybe they took his profile into account this month.
I have also seen posts from men who are bald, and are listed in their profile as being bald, who have received hair styling products. I can almost guarantee he will receive shaving products since so many of the featured products each month are based around shaving, whether it be a pre-shave oil, shaving cream, after shave etc. The one month they did send out Mr.Natty beard elixir so maybe he would get something like that? Although I wouldn't count on not receiving shaving products.
Yes, that's kind of what I figured given my experience w/the women's box. They seem to pay attention to the quiz when it's easy but don't go out of their way to do so. And a part of me is convinced that 50% of men's grooming products revolve around shaving.
Thanks for the honest feedback!
