I am a Valentine's day fanatic (I'm one of those people) and I've been avoiding the HoG release like cray! I will try for Cozy Rose anything. And a few other scents if I can get my hands on them.

Speaking of HoG... If anyone didn't get this e-mail

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all of you for yet another crazy release day! As you have probably noticed, we've sold out of the majority of our items already!

We wanted to get in touch with all of you to let you know our plans for restocks on Valentine's items.  Unfortunately, we will be unable to restock lip balms, scrubs and butterbombs before Spring release.  We do plan to restock as many pumpkin butters and perfumes as we can (hopefully whipped soaps as well).  As much as we would rather not, the increased demand means that we will have to sacrifice on this release to get caught up and have sufficient stock to avoid an immediate sell out when our Spring collection is released.

We understand that a lot of you will be disappointed and we definitely feel badly for this.  Our hope is that by cutting this release a bit short we will be able to get "ahead of the game" and be able to provide better service on our upcoming releases.

Thank you so much for riding out these growing pains with us.

Britton, Matt & James

Well I better place an order for what I can. I am very sad First Blush is sold out :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I wanted that one the most. In any form.

I desperately want First Blush whipped soap, but, sigh, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be.  Maybe this is a sign I'm supposed to pick a few creme soaps up from Black Violet -- or that I need to just concentrate on the winter goodies I already have and *then* only buy more stuff after I finally use all of *that* up.

So, I know the re-release date for HoG stuff. PM me for it, I'd rather not have it get to IMAM and others because I worked hard for it and I don't want the two products I really want selling out in 30 seconds if I can help it, haha. But TBH they'll probably announce the day before anyway

Also, I wonder if I can get someone to trade a Hug of Death for one of my Ghost Puffs... I'm desperate.

I'm so bummed about the scrubs! I had such a limited budget during the release & totally would have used it for JUST scrubs if I had known they weren't getting restocked.

But, oh well! I'll just grab extra whipped soaps and pumpkin butters :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I missed a lot of what I wanted in the HoG release because I had a lab... I was really excited for Odette everything-I'm a tuberose groupie. I'm sad they aren't restocking butterbombs, I'm not going to add anything else on. Trying not to buy more product than I can conceivably every user.

There are still some of the Valentine's releases left at DC - I'm debating getting Noose Jewelry.  I'm supposed to be on a low-buy but it's also listed as a unisex perfume and I also want to know what true raw carrot smells like...decisions, decisions.  This is where I need that emoticon that had the angel on one side and devil on the other.
Despite what one might think, carrot is good! It's not the same as what DC would use, but Demeter used to make a carrot scent back in they day (maybe they still do). It is a little sweet, a little green and something like loam - very earthy. It think it will pair well with the other parts in Noose Jewelry (which was still in stock when I last looked). :smilehappyyes:

As for HoG blah blah whatever. I'm tired of spending some hours of my time trying to give my hard earned money to one company or the other. Some are worth it, but some aren't anymore, so I am going to be a little more discriminating from here on out. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I put myself on a $50/month non-sub budget, and I just caved and spent half of February on Noose Jewelry and the solid of Blue Valentine.  It's almost February, right?  And I've discovered I love DC's solid frangrances.  I think I'll spend the rest on Sugar and Spite, since I really want to try their whipped body lotion, but I will wait for Feb 1st for that one :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

By the time you get them, it will be February. There you go!

Whoo!  BPAL Lupercalia update!  I'm going to give a word of warning about the website:  The Lupercalia page has nudity.  A lot of nudity.  A lot of full-frontal nudity.  And then there's the shunga section:  It's basically pre-photography Japanese woodblock porn.  So in the interest of not forcing everyone to go to a very NSFW page to see the notes, here's the list!  Note:  The Box of Bon Bons line is basically chocolate-covered general catalog scents, so there's one oil in there that needed extra explanation, which I've put in brackets.  And I've bolded the ones that are returning oils, in case anyone was wondering if there are any that have been released before.

++ LUPERCALIA 2015

  • Creeper Dragon – Creeper Dragon Musk: daemonorops, green leather, and red musk with dribbles of honey and white cream.

I don't even know where to begin!

@@meaganola I need your advice. There is once scent in the BPAL new release I really want two of, but they're so pricey. I see that many of the LE scents from Autumn and Yule etc haven't sold out, so I'm wondering if I have enough time to wait a week?

@@ohsailor BPAL does things a little differently than, say, Haus of Gloi.  They don't work from stock, and they don't exactly sell out.  For the most part, they make stuff after the order is placed.  Except for unexpected situations where they have to very abruptly discontinue something (and when this happens, you typically get no warning, and it can happen to *anything* at any time, including one of their most popular scents only partway through the fulfillment of existing orders), collections run according to dates.  The Ligeia, Halloweenie, and Yule scents are coming down February 5th, so you have until, uh, Thursday to order those.  The Lupercalia stuff hasn't even been made yet, and they don't come down until April, so, barring unforseen component issues that are impossible to predict, you have plenty of time.  Just keep in mind that if you wait a week, there's almost definitely no way you will get them before Valentine's Day.  TAT is not brief.

(And nosy time:  What do you want two bottles of?  I'm planning on getting two bottles of Creeper Dragon and maybe Signior Dildo, although I might hit decant leftovers for the latter.  The former is going to age like a dream, so I want a bottle to use now and a second to stash away unopened for as long as I can!  I need to test my decant of SD from two or three years ago and make sure it's something that also ages well since I won't be wearing the 2015 version this year if I do get it.  I also have ten I am thinking about getting decants of, but I'm still going back and forth on those.)

Eeeee, I came home to find that the amazing meaganola had sent me some smelly goods!! Thaaaaank you, you're the best and I can't wait to try them all :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> :)
Yay, they made it! A tip I forgot to mention: If you can handle it, let them sit overnight before trying them. Shipping can do weird things to scents, but letting them settle will fix that right up.
