When you said, "left me in a state where I didn't even want to leave my bed" I was thinking, "Yikes! What state is that?? South Dakota? (Only saying that because statistically there are less South Dakotaians I can possibly offend, less populous state,

I was thinking of myself having a bad breakup, maybe having moved for the guy and then it being so bad I'm like, I don't even want my BED to be in this crummy state, much less me! I'm learning two new languages and I suppose I'm losing some of my English, only so much room in my brain. I'm so glad it worked out for you, it sucks to be in stress like that, especially over a lot of things and a lot of time, you deserve some great makeup karma now.
Speaking of which, you've inspired an idea. Have we on MuT ever thought of or done a Random Act of Kindness thread? Goodness knows we all could use some kindness. They have it on the Amazon.com book forums, a person posts their wish lists, somehow anonymously, and people randomly send out little things on it. The thankfulness and good feeling for doing something nice for someone else boosts everyone up, not even just the giver/receiver. Sometimes they're free, like Kindle books that come up free but usually they're paperbacks and such I think. I was thinking that a lot of us are already at the post office mailing out trades, it'd be cool to RAK someone every now and then. To say thanks for being a great poster, a helpful friend, etc. The logistics could be crazy, but it's just an idea. An idea I thought of when I was thinking, "Man, she seems to be such an amazing person, what sucky luck to have all that happen to her at once. I want to buy her a beer." When you come to Belize, I will meet you for a beer on me, 'cause, you know, beer solves everything. Or a virgin pina colada, your pick.
(I can't believe I could actually use that smiley in context! This day is weird. Good weird, but weird!)
By the way, the state that you were actually in? I live there a lot of the time. Being in bed is so comfortable and helps block the world out, it's a terrible state to be in when you have that feeling but when you're there, your bed is a great place to cuddle up and nurse your wounds. Hope you completely better soon. You are a great person who helps out a lot of us and we really do appreciate you. I'm not even in the circular swap, I'm just looking at all the goodies and cheering at how great everyone has been in being so generous and fun and how big the box of stuff is getting. Cheers!
